Prof. Dr. Haldun Kamburoğlu graduated from the İzmir Bornova Anatolian High School in 1995. He received his higher education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2002. He received his specialization training at the Department of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery of Hacettepe University, Faculty of Medicine. During his residency, he received a micro-surgery training at the laboratory of the Zurich University's Neurosurgery clinic. In 2009, he rotated for a period at Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Clinic of Yale University in USA. At the end of the same year, he became a specialist in Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery. He also had his European Board certification on Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) in 2009. In 2013, he became a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
In 2015, Prof. Dr. Kamburoğlu did his first fellowship in the fields of facial aesthetics, breast aesthetics and body contour Aesthetics by working with renowned aesthetic surgeons, Dr. Alexis Verpaele and Dr. Patrick Tonnard in Coupure Centrum and EMC2 Clinics of Belgium. In the same year, he did another fellowship in the field of rhinoplasty by working with Dr. Wolfgang Gubisch (Founder President of Rhinoplasty Society Europe) at the Stuttgart Marien Hospital of Germany. He was deemed worthy of the 2015 European Young Plastic Surgeon Fellowship by the European Association of Plastic Surgeons (EURAPS). In October 2015, he became an associate professor. Between 2014 and 2016, he was the vice manager of Hacettepe University, Aesthetic Surgery Research and Application Center. In January 2016, he left Hacettepe University and opened his own private clinic. He completed Turkey's first Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program on Aesthetic Surgery in 2019, with a thesis on rhinoplasty. He became a professor in 2020.
Prof. Dr. Haldun Kamburoğlu is a board member of Rhinoplasty Society of Europe (RSE). Also, he is a member of International Society of Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), Rhinoplasty Society of Europe (RSE), The Rhinoplasty Society of America (TRS), The Turkish Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (TSPRAS), and The Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (EPCD), Beşiktas JK and Ankara Golf Club (AGK). His hobbies are kitesurf, snowboard, golf and motorcycling.
He is particularly interested in nose aesthetics, breast aesthetics, facial aesthetics, body aesthetics, endoscopic aesthetic procedures, minimal invasive aesthetic procedures (filler, botulinum toxin applications, PRP, radiofrequency and laser applications), stem cell therapies, and jaw closure disorders (orthognathic surgery). He continues to lecture on rhinoplasty, breast, and face aesthetics as an invited speaker to international meetings.
